If you've never witnessed netball under the island sun, now’s your chance. The Tiare Netball Celebration 2026 is coming back to Rarotonga on 22 Feb to 1 Mar, and it’s shaping up to be another week of connection, competition, and unreal Cook Islands vibes.   

This annual tournament is where sport, culture, and aro’a (love) collide. Teams from across the Pacific like Australia, New Zealand, up and down the Cooks, all gather to play with heart, laugh loud, and build friendships that go well beyond the final whistle. Players of all ages and stages take the court, from Open and Over 30s, to Over 60s and Walking Netball.   

Feel The Energy At Raemaru Park   

As locals, we’ve seen some real nail-biters go down at Raemaru Park, but what makes Tiare Netball really special is the feeling around it all. There’s a vibe in the air, the kind you only get when everyone's giving it their all, on and off the court.   

Every day is action-packed with matches, but trust us, it’s not just about netball. From the island-style welcome events to culture nights with singing, dance, and local kai... and of course, that epic finale dinner and dance, it’s a full-on celebration of everything we love about island life.   

Get Amongst It, As A Spectator   

Thinking of being part of the fun? Great call. While the tournament is open to participants for a small fee, spectators are more than welcome too. It’s free to come watch, cheer on your favourites, and soak up the awesome energy.   

Our tip? Plan on spending a few days courtside, then take a break with a chilled coconut on the beach nearby. Balance.
