Please read the following terms and conditions before proceeding with your reservation request, thank you. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
Important Note: Before taking a vehicle you will be required to sign a formal rental agreement and if you make a booking on this website, you will be bound by the terms and conditions of that formal rental agreement. Full terms and conditions applicable to your hire of a vehicle from Polynesian Rental Cars Cook Islands are available on your copy of the rental agreement.
Rates are subject to change and availability at participating locations. Your rental rate will be confirmed and guaranteed at time of reservation. Unless otherwise stated rates include unlimited mileage, VAT (Value Added Tax) and third party liability.
The minimum rental period is 1 day. Rental days are based on 24-hour periods starting at the time the vehicle is collected. Late returns will be subject to an additional charge. If you need to extend your rental you must obtain authorisation from the rental location before the agreed expiry date. Additional days will be charged in New Zealand Dollars at the original rate quoted.
Complimentary pick up and drop off to accommodation and the Airport pick up and drop off is $20.00 each way.
Our roadside assistance services operates from 8.00am to 10.00pm 7 days a week. Fees may apply.
Car types
The cars illustrated in this website for each car group are shown for guidance only. Vehicle types and models will vary from country to country. Polynesian Rental Cars reserves the right to substitute an alternative car group when the car reserved is not available.

Bike Hire Terms

When the rental is completed and the vehicle has a full tank and is returned in the same condition, the deposit is refunded.

Credit Cards
We accept Visa and MasterCard credit and debit cards. These cards must show the customer’s name, signature and card number, with their applicable logo. Prepaid and Reloadable debit cards and Gift cards, as well as Travel cards and EFTPOS cards are not accepted.
Credit Card Security
We will not use credit card information for any purpose other than to process your payments. Your CSV number will not be stored once payment has been successful.
Credit card details are not stored anywhere in our database at any time, but they are transmitted from our website to the ANZ E-Gate payment gateway with SSL encryption for processing and confirming your vehicle hire.
Consumer Data Privacy Policy
Polynesian Rentals does not use cookies to collect your personal information. Cookies are only used to complete bookings on the site.
We do not share, sell, rent or barter your personal information or provide any other customer information to other companies or organizations. We may share this information, and only that information which is absolutely necessary, with those third parties that are involved in the processing of your order. For example, the financial institution that issued your credit card.
We may use your email address to communicate with you to either respond to a query or request information relating to your booking.
Transactions using the ANZ E-Gate payment gateway secure site ensure the privacy and security of credit card transactions. Polynesian Rentals has no access to this information which is between the renter and ANZ E-Gate payment gateway.
Return of Vehicle
(a) Should the Hirer decide to voluntarily return the vehicle (including car keys) and accessories to the location specified in the rental agreement prior to the expiry of the hire term, the Hirer will be entitled to a refund of the unused portion of the rental fees paid.
(b) Polynesian Rentals must authorize any rental extension beyond that specified in the rental agreement prior to return of the vehicle. All extensions are subject to availability and must be requested at least 24 hours prior to the original drop off date on the rental agreement, where possible Polynesian Rentals Ltd will oblige.
Cancellation Policy
The cancellation fee that applies to a confirmed reservation is as follows:
(a) 50% of total rental if cancelled on the day of pick up
(b) 25% of total rental if cancelled within 3 days prior to the pickup date
(c) All other cancellations are subject to 5% of the total rental
Refund Policy
Should the Hirer decide to voluntarily return the vehicle (including car keys) and accessories to the location specified in the rental agreement prior to the expiry of the hire term, the Hirer will be entitled to a refund of the unused portion of the rental fees paid.
