The Vaka Eiva International Paddling Competition is returning to Rarotonga during the week 22 November to 29 November 2019. This outrigger canoeing event sees hundreds of paddlers and their supporters hit Rarotonga's shores, and is now the largest sporting event in the Cook Islands and one of the biggest paddling events in the world!

Seeing the power and majesty of whales, whether from a boat or the shore, is a rare experience you’ll never forget. In the Cook Islands, we are blessed with whale watching from July to October every year (depending on ocean currents and water temperatures). Some tourists visit specifically to see the whales, while others get the surprise of their lives sitting having breakfast when they see a mighty whale breach just behind the coral reef!

The National Cook Islands Sunburst Sailing Championships are being held at Muri Beach in Rarotonga this weekend on Saturday 31st of August. This is a great spectacle from the shore or out on Muri Lagoon.
